Weekly Photo Challenge: Home
The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
Of things unknown but longed for still
And his tune is heard on the distant hill for
The caged bird sings of freedom. Maya Angelou
In this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge we are invited to show what ‘Home’ means to us. It means differently to everyone whether a physical structure of a house to go home to and relax, or a place in the heart to return to. The photos I chose to include for this challenge were not of the castles and palaces I’ve seen during my travels, but of what some may call, hopefully temporary, home…

I just loved these pictures

Quite ironic, isn’t it? I felt intrusive taking that photo, but I couldn’t help myself – it was just too ironic! Thanks.

Ok so I will tell you a weird story. I traveled from Vietnam Nam to San Francisco through New York and had a 18 hour lay over in Washington DC (business travel frequently sucks). I went to have a look around DC and the company wouldn’t by a hotel room. I noticed homeless people here and there sleeping unmolested here and there. I was bushed and decided there was no way I’d sleep long enough to miss my flight so I had my carry on and I found a spot on the shade and took a nap hugging my stuff. I think I blende right in. Slept for about 6 hours went back to the Airport cleaned up in the restroom and felt tons better. I bet I looked like I lived right there on the side of the park.
