Some observations from travels

The Colours of Autumn

This is my first time to experience the real colours of autumn and I must say…it’s pretty awesome!  Here are some photos I gathered from my recent visits to Korankei in Asuke-Cho, Toyota City as well as neighbourhood parks here in Nagoya – Tokugawaen, Yagoto Kuosho-Ji, and Shirotori Garden.  I hope you will enjoy them…

Shirotori Garden

I have a beautiful history with Shirotori Garden.  A few months ago I came upon this garden because I read somewhere that they have a tea ceremony given at the garden.  When I first saw the garden I noticed that there were maple trees all over and vowed to return during autumn to experience the changing colours.  And it didn’t fail my expectations.

I hope everyone enjoyed this glorious season of colours.  It’s cold, I know, but I’m crossing my fingers for snow in winter!  See you all soon…

  2. That was wonderful. I’m not going to try to choose favourites – except to say that I think if I have to choose between spring and autumn in Japanese gardens – I’m going tp have tp say autumn. Really – extraordinarily beautiful.
